11 New Cases, 880 Total Cases, 43 Hospitalized during illness, 17 deaths
Lincoln County Public Health and Pacific West Ambulance received their first shipments of the Moderna vaccine yesterday. Both agencies are working together to ensure that Emergency Medical Services (EMS), first responders and law enforcement personnel receive the first dose of the vaccine.

LINCOLN CITY, Oregon- The City of Lincoln City purchased a six-plus acre property located at SE 51st Street from the Lincoln County School District with plans to develop it into a park. The property is the former site of Taft Elementary and Middle Schools and was most recently used for bus storage. This is the first step in creating another community park for the residents and visitors of Lincoln City.
Updated Risk Levels take effect January 1; Five Counties improve from Extreme to High.
Governor Kate Brown today announced updates to county risk levels under the state’s new public health framework to reduce transmission and protect Oregonians from COVID-19. The framework uses four different risk levels for counties based on COVID-19 spread- Extreme Risk, High Risk and Lower Risk- and assigns health and safety measures for each level.

Oregon’s COVID-19 vaccination effort continues with the state’s first long-term care facility, residents and staff receiving vaccinations. Oregon, like other states, does not currently have enough vaccine to immunize everyone against COVID-19. The first people getting the vaccine are healthcare workers and people who live or work in long-term care facilities.
