Free Lifeguard Class

Free Red Cross Lifeguarding Class on February 24th, 25th, 26th, March 4th and 5th.

The City of Lincoln City strongly encourages the community to educate and prepare for a disaster along the coast. Take time to discuss with your family a plan that addresses all hazards we face such as wildfires, earthquakes, and tsunami’s. Important plan items should address the following:

Who is your family emergency contact? (out of area or out of state) Make sure to help your children memorize the number as you could be separated during a disaster.
Where is your family meeting point?
What is your evacuation route?
Educate your family on the types of tsunami’s and warnings: distant and local.
Have “Go Kits” and “Stay Kits” prepared.
Keep gas tanks at least half full.
Keep emergency kits in different locations.
Have enough water, food, and medications to last at least a week.
Talk to your kids and become familiar with their school’s plan of emergency.
